How To Add Goals On Garmin Connect
Setting goals on the Garmin App is easy. You can use it to set a goal for any of the sports Garmin tracks. Once you have set your sport you can decide which metric you want to track. This can be Hours, Distance, Calories, or activities. In the example below I am going to set a goal for running, but the process is the same for other sports.
- Go to the Garmin Connect Web App and log in to your account
- Navigate to the goals section on the left hand side
- Select the activity you want to create a goal for. If you don’t see the sport you want to track, select custom.
- Fill in the information about your goal. You can give it a name, select your goal type, target, duration and the date you want the goal to start.
- Click save to finalize your goal
How To Track Garmin Goal Progress
Once you have created a goal you can view your progress from your dashboard. You will see the goal section under Dashboards –> Fitness.
Can I View A Goal On The Garmin Connect App
No, unfortunately, you are unable to view your goals in the Garmin connect app. We are surprised that this feature still has not been released. The fact that most people use the app and not the web app should make it a priority to get this feature on the app.
So, now you know how to create a goal on the Garmin Connect app. Unfortunately, it is a little more complex than you probably wanted. We hope to see this feature on mobile very soon. Good luck with hitting them goals!
